Kagora

Kagora is a web forum system, written in Perl, using a MySQL database backend. Features include: Moderation - The Kagora system allows direct as well as moderated forums. In direct forums, messages appear as soon as theyre posted. In moderated forums, they need to be previously approved by a moderator; Intuitive interface - Forums appear to the user in three frames: a menu, used for navigation, a list of messages, and a frame used to display messages and to post new messages; Skins - Forums are associated to skins that enable to customize their look; and Support for i18n - All messages produced by the system are grouped in a separate module.

NEWBOARD

NEWBOARD.PL is an easy to use beginners message board. It is based on Matts WWWboard script, with better privacy (email addresses are not posted), simplified form layout, and automatic emailing options to inform webmaster and poster of messages and follow-ups. Comes with full instructions and useful help notes. Zip file also contains the original WWWboard script with its administration script.

Acity

Acity is a web-based, threaded discussion tool. Its *fast*, very intuitive to use, was beta-tested by more than a hundred people, and is now totally stable. Acity remembers each users preferences, and allows unread-only browsing, like a usenet-news system. It offers the ability to manage several different groups, with different themes, forums and administrators for each group. It runs on any OS that have Apache, mod_perl and a SQL server.

Oneliner

The Oneliner is a kind of message board where you can leave small messages, a little like a tagwall. Besides its very small and neat, it may look anyway you want so itll fit any design. You may also specify the number of rows that should be displayed. Other features are multiple content files, archiving, censoring and spam protection. This script requires SSI.
