XML-Guestbook

XML-Guestbook is a tiny, light but nice & full-featured guestbook. It has a pager for large number of messages, it supports smiley images & hyperlinks within messages and uses CSS styles. When posting, malicious characters are automatically removed from messages and data can be e-mailed to administrator. It can be used more than once in a website either as a standalone page or included into another page. Messages are stored in a text file in XML format including IP, time, country & other info. Very easy installation & configuration.

All in one guestbook-shoutbox-chatroom

This little project came to be when I couldnt find a shoutbox that was quite to my liking. Im no expert with PHP, and the coding is far from elegant, but it seems to work well enough as a shoutbox/guestbook/chat script. I know it could be improved upon. After a couple of people asked if they could borrow the script, I kinda packaged it up as you see it now (mainly, I just moved some user variables to an include file for portability) Features: -Functions as a guestbook/shoutbox, but also as a quasi-chat room by virtue of a silent refresh - no annoyong IE tick - (it really isnt very efficient as a chat room, but Ive used it that way on my webcam site) -Displays the national flag of the visitor (courtesy of an IP lookup at www.hostip.info) -Tooltip display of IP, date, time of post on mouse over a comment (to reduce clutter) -Site owners comments receive a distinguishing highlight, and the site owners name cannot be used by others - see comments.inc.php for explanation

A currently simple PHP/MySQL driven guestbook that is still getting more and more features. This guestbook is constantly being improved so what you see now is not hat you will see later. This is just a preview of what will later be an absolutely amazing guestbook. This system is easy to install just upload, modify settings.php to you liking and open install.php in your browser. This system supports unlimited different instances of itself. If you want more than one guestbook and you want them to be for differnet things, just upload this system to a different folder edit the settings and change the $gb_tn to a different name. The current version includes a better layout, style sheet, entries are now ordered by date, and more.
