4. Custom 404 Error Page With Email Notification

A tutorial that shows you how to set up your site so that you receive an email whenever a visitor encounters a file not found error. Can easily be adopted for other errors such as 400 (Bad Request), 401 (Authorization Required), 403 (Forbidden), and 500 (Internal Server Error). Requires an Apache web server with PHP installed.

5. Website Uptime Monitoring Notification

A performance monitoring and uptime notification tool. This script is very easy to setup and use. Script will check if your website is up, and check the response time of the site also. You can then choose to receive an email notification if the site is down, or if the site response time is too high. All results are also written to a daily log file. You can check as many websites as you wish, all URLs are stored in a separate text file for easy updating. Web Site Monitoring - Performance Monitoring is open-source and released under the GPL license. Runs on any os that supports perl.

6. HTMLfixIT.com PayPal Instant Payment Notification script.
|
The HTMLfixIT IPN script is designed to work with PayPals IPN interface. It performs many security checks, logs all transaction data. With this script, you can sell items via PayPal and the IPN script will send out thankyou/receipt emails, keep track of pending payments, send you notifications of a transaction, stores a list of unique email address (so you can email clients easily if needed.). As an added benefit, there is sample code in the script that shows you how to set the script up to respond differently for different products you sell. 7. AB Cold Fusion Error Notification
|
This tag allows the developer to easily pin point errors before the client or user. In addition if you dont have access to the ColdFusion Administrator (if another company is hosting the site), you also dont have acess to see the DEBUG output generated since it is set in the CF ADMIN. Therefore, the work around is to place this tag within the Applicaiton.cfm at which time you will be emailed along with the error being displayed to a specified list of IPs. Usage: 1. Unzip the error.cfm and place in the same directory as your Application.cfm file. Then place the <cferror type="Exception" template="error.cfm" mailto="you@youremail.com"> within your Application.cfm file (see the attached Application.cfm file for the example). 2. Modify the <cfset EMAILADDRESSTONOTIFY="you@youremail.com,yours@youremail.com"> to match the email addresses you want the error to be sent to. 3. Modify the <cfset ERRORIPS=""> to add the IPs which will be able to see the erro on the page along with the error being emailed to the developer. FULL EXAMPLE. 1. Application.cfm: Add the following line <cferror type="Exception" template="error.cfm" mailto="you@youremail.com"> 2. error.cfm (make sure this file is in the same folder as your Application.cfm file). Also make sure to modify the from= on line 56 of the error.cfm page to match what email address is sending the error. <cfset ERRORIPS="219.875.545.66,21.565.874.133"> In addition to this readme, the Application.cfm and error.cfm files within the zip file you downloaded have usage syntax also. Feel free to modify the error.cfm match your colors and fonts.

8. Pay-Pal IPN (Instant Payment Notification)
|
Verify all Pay-Pal transactions (from Buy Now Buttons) to ensure orders are completed before allowing the download of your products. Keeps track of the number of product downloads and limits the number of attempts a buyer can download product. If products are updated, administration can reset download attempts for free upgrades and send an email to each customer of that product notifing them of that update. Create, edit, delete and search transactions within administration. Download script can be made to match your website and will only allow download links to work from listed sites.
