7. Simple RSS News Reader

A class to list the latest RSS feeds news sites. I have included a caching facility, this is important to have. Most sites that allow you to list their news items will probably ask that you cache the pages for at least half an hour, it,s only polite to conform with this. The feeds I tested were the ones in the test area of the file and some others RSS v0.91, v2, RDF. They all worked fine. If you find anything wrong let me know and I will make the time for alterations. The caching facility writes to a flat text file, NO DATABASE REQUIRED. A nice little script and does exactly what is says on the tin.

|
CsvReader is an extremely fast and efficient .Net class for parsing virtually any commonly found delimited data format, CSV files, tab delimited files, etc. Its usable from C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, or any other .Net language. Parsing is done using the de facto standard CSV file specifications. Memory usage is suprisingly small and constant while parsing no matter the file size. Data can be parsed in less than half of the time of any other parser it has been benchmarked against. Rough benchmarks parsing common comma seperated columns is 10 MB of data parsing per second. Virtually no garbage collection is needed from the framework because of object reuse internally while parsing. All development is throughly unit tested to guarantee fewer bugs and to insure proper handling of extreme cases. Pricing is extremely cheap and licensing is amazingly open. One license is good across all machines enterprise wide.
