42. Database file upload / download
|
db_upload_file() stores a file in a database table. Make sure that the column data type is big enough for the files you will be storing. db_download_file() retrieves a file from the database and places it in the same path as the script calling it, and returns the relative URL. If the file does not exist in the database, it returns an empty string.

This is a formmail to send email via the internet to whom you specify. The script is written in Perl and it is platform independant. Has unlimited form fields - Can handle any number of HTML fields Multiple recipient support - Have the feedback email sent to any number of different recipients! Form completion checking - Automatically checks the submitted form to make sure all required fields are filled in. Redirection support - Redirects the user to a different web page depending on how the submission went, redirect the user to an "incomplete" page if the form isnt completed or a "thank you" page if all went well! 50. Flash File Upload
|
A simple file uploading tutorial using JavaScript, Flash and CF. A file field is stored in a hidden frame and is referenced from Flash using JavaScript. Its a nice workaround but right now only works in IE. Hopefully developers will build on this tool to create a fully functional uploading system using a Flash front end.
